My first computer was a TRS-80 in the late 70s and I was instantly hooked. It was clear to me computers were about to change the world; less clear was how to talk about this exciting technology without getting bogged down in technical details.
People want to know what tech can do for them. That is what I focus on in product marketing: the emotional appeal of the power of technology.
My most recent jobs were at TiVo running Marketing for their Analytics team and EMC Corporation delivering content about the cloud revolution in IT. Prior to EMC, I worked at big companies like Microsoft and Oracle as well as startups and even an ad agency. I have done B2B and B2C marketing; both are fun and challenging.
Outside of work, I like to play golf, visit art museums and spend time with my wife and son.
