Geoffrey’s multifaceted experience brings deep understanding to the role of Research Director. His career in technology began in enterprise software sales, where he found success in inside sales, field sales, and sales management. From there, he transitioned to sales and marketing consulting, assisting startups with jump-starting their growth, before he settled into product marketing, where he helped companies launch products and improve how they communicate with customers and prospects. Geoffrey is also a published playwright, novelist, and essayist.
Geoffrey credits his success across all those fields to his dedicated use of empathy. The more you can understand the world through the eyes of those with whom you wish to make a connection, the greater the chance of effective and persuasive communication. Geoffrey is also interested in the interdisciplinary sciences behind interpersonal communication—psychology, linguistics, cognitive sciences, semiotics, and anthropology—which he incorporates into his work where he can.
